Our Mission
At Santa Monica Montessori School we strive to create an atmosphere of deep mutual respect between faculty and students. We are very proud of our internationally diverse faculty and student body, and gender-equitable interscholastic sports. We offer a customized, flexible education in early childhood, elementary and junior high that allows each child to develop according to his own pace. Students are guided in the creation of educational projects, leadership and character development.

"Our two children attended Santa Monica Montessori School for 2 and a half years! We did go to different schools when we first moved to USA and LA, but the kids never felt comfortable in them neither did my husband or I. This school has a wonderful administration and Director that sees every family and child. They are there for you. They are there on a daily basis and always available when you need them. “My child has definitely learned and grew tremendously since starting at this school. I love how the classroom materials are complete and well planned for practical life and sensorial work. School is well kept and managed and all their teachers are trained and certified. Another bonus to SMMS are all the extracurricular classes offered at their school. Gymnastics, music, tennis, soccer, Mandarin and dance. The kids also have performances which helps with stage exposure at a young age. Did I mention they're accredited unlike many other schools who claims they're a Montessori School?"
