Pamela J. Crisman is the Executive Director of the Santa Monica Montessori School and teacher Training Institute. She holds a B.A. in Early Childhood – Elementary Education, an M.A. in Special Education – Gifted, and a Doctorate in Humane Letters. She also has her Montessori Certificates in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She was formerly a teacher in Florida, in the counties of Hernando, Hillsborough and Dade. Her experience includes serving as a classroom teacher and as a Program Director for the gifted and for Early Childhood Education.
Mrs. Crisman has taught the Montessori Method of education at California State University, San Marcos, UCSD Extension, Mira Costa College, and California New Hope University. She is the former supervisor of the Grace Schools of Montessori, which included six private schools for eduction of Montessori children ages 2 1/2 to 9. In addition to Santa Monica Montessori School, which serves children from 2 1/2 to 12, Mrs. Crisman is a founding board member of Carlsbad Schools Inc., which includes Carlsbad Montessori School, Santa Ana Montessori School, Madison Montessori School and the International Progressive Montessori Institute.
